I am a Nurse by Profession. I was introduced to Sisterlocks™ while working in Augusta, Georgia. Upon taking a travel nurse assignment to California I was determined to get these “Sisterlocks”. I guess you can say that I took a detour. When I arrive in Los Angeles. I was convinced that another locking system would be better for my hair and unfortunately I listened. Needless to say when I reached my destination I had no one to maintain my hair. I realized I had been misled. Eventually I took down my four weeks old mystery locks. I found a wonderful and patient consultant in Antioch, California. She labored over my thick mane and I now have a beautiful head of Sisterlocks™. I encourage you to research your options when considering locking your hair. Give Sisterlocks™ a long hard look. You won’t regret it.

I took the Sisterlocks™ training in June 2003 in Benicia, California. Monique Hunt was my trainer. The class was small and very personal. I remember feeling very proud and excited. I returned to Augusta, Georgia in August and started my business. It was slow in the beginning but I eventually became certified in January 2005. I built a decent Clientele but felt there was more for me. I relocated to the triangle area in 2006. I am open to reaching and teaching many here in North Carolina to embrace the natural through Sisterlocks™.
